Description

Tungsten is a very brittle metal. Tungsten has the highest melting point, the lowest coefficient of expansion, and the lowest vapor pressure of any commonly used metal. Tungsten has the highest melting point of any metal, at approximately 3422 degrees Celsius. Some uses for tungsten include filaments, high-speed tools, automotive products, sputtering targets, counterbalance weights, and heating elements.
