Description

ER 312 filler wire can be considered outstanding by virtue of its excellent performance, characteristics, and weld metal of controlled chemical composition. The weld metal is highly resistant to cracks and fissures. The typical application includes welding dissimilar metals, unknown metals, leaf and coil springs, gear teeth, forged shafts, earth moving equipment, and machine parts. Applications should be limited to a service temperature below 420 °C to avoid the formation of a secondary brittle phase.
